Louis Forton
Louis Forton , born with Sées the March 14th 1879 and dead the February 15th 1934, is a Scénariste and draftsman of cartoons French.
Louis Forton is one of the pioneers of the French Cartoon . He is in particular is the author of the famous satirical and humorous series:
- Nickelled Feet (1908)
- Bibi Fricotin (1928), taken again with its death by Gaston Callaud.
Louis Forton begins his artistic career in 1904 with the publication from the History of the Lord de Ciremolle in the Magazine . Shortly after the disappearance of this review, it collaborates regularly in the Petit Magazine , with military reviews the Life in Red Breeches , the Garrison life like to Punchinello and the Petit Magazine Amusing . For the launching of the illustrated American , in 1907, it draws many stories such as Isidore Mac Aron , Anatole Fricotard and Séraphin Laricot , under Pseudonyme S english-speaking such as “Tom Hatt”, “Tommy Jackson” or “W. Bed”. In 1908, he becomes the principal draftsman of Impressing It for which he creates the Nickelled Feet .
In parallel, it continues to draw for reviews like the Garrison life , like my Copain of Sunday (1911) and Shovel-Mixes It (1924). In 1924, it creates Bibi Fricotin in the Small Magazine . In 1925, it creates Ploum for Impressing it .
The grandson of Louis Forton, Gerald Forton, became draftsman like him.
