Louis Dollot

Louis Dollot (1915 - 1997) is a Diplomate and a man of letters French.

Wire of Rene Dollot, ambassador plenipotentiary, and from Renee of Jouffroy d' Abbans, it was born the November 26th 1915 with Paris. Doctor in right, Graduate of the Private school of political sciences, Bachelor of arts. It begins its diplomatic career as French Consul to Melilla, in 1945, then with Johannesburg, in 1949. It is named first secretary in Turkey in 1951.

With the Quay of Orsay, he works successively with the Directorate of Political Affairs, in 1954, with the direction of the cultural and technical affairs (1958), with the direction of the economic affairs in 1960.

He leaves for the Australia in 1967, where he will be to advise of embassy until 1970. First adviser in Belgium between 1971 and 1974, it was then named ambassador of France to the Liberia between 1975 and 1980, turbid time for the country.

Throughout its diplomatic career it will not have of cease to draw pictures or to bring back the history of the countries where it will be on mission. He wrote in particular in the Revue of Paris, in Ecclésia (re-examined), in the Revue diplomatic history, and regularly until the years 1980 in the review Historia.

Died in 1997, with Villeneuve-sur-Lot (Lot-et-Garonne), it is buried with Sainte-Livrade-sur-Lot.
