Louis Delaporte is a Explorateur French born with Loches the January 11th 1842 and died with Paris the May 3rd 1925.

Very early, Louis Delaporte decided to be a sailor. After several forwardings, in particular in Iceland, it left, because of its talents of draftsman, with Ernest Doudart de Lagrée to explore the course of the Mekong, where it discovered the site of Angkor.

It brought back the largest collection of Khmer art to Paris and directed during several years the Khmer Museum, in one of the parts of the Musée of Trocadéro.
