Who is Louis Count?
Louis Count was a doubtful adventurer and perhaps inveterate liar. Envoy on mission in Normandy for espionner Federalistic insurgent. Those had stopped it, then given in freedom. It had stopped an aide-de-camp of the general Louis-Felix de Wimpfen (this general had under its command the small army of Gironde), the police chiefs of Convention Robert Lindet, Jean-Michel Duroy and Bonnet, ordered the arrest of Louis Count so much his attitude was ambiguous.

Revelations of Louis Count
Of return to Paris, at the beginning of October 1793, Louis Count contacted a former general adjudant of the general Louis-Felix Wimpfen who makes him strange revelations. Georges Jacques Danton, Charles-François Delacroix and some others would have charged Jules Paré with sending to the baron Louis-Felix de Wimpfen an agent, Naudet, in order to submit this project to him, the re-establishment of the monachie in France for the benefit of Frederic, duke of York, wire junior by Georges III of the United Kingdom.
Georges III, (of Gironde the Jean-Louis Carra had already proposed to entrust to Frederic, duke of York the government of the Belgium in revolt against the Austria, then the crown of France (1792)). Georges III inspired that provided by the Père Duchesne (n° 274) which showed the " guys with double face" to nourish such a project, together with a marriage of Frederic, duke of York with the girl of Louis XVI of France.
Louis Count heard by the Committee of public hello
Informed as of the end of September 1793, the Comité of public hello - wisdom or calculation - does not appear to grant great credit to the " complot". Marie-Jean Herault de Séchelles will receive the denunciation of Louis Count, then will listen to the general adjudant of Louis-Felix Wimpfen, the two men being heard then by Jacques Nicolas Billaud-Game preserve.
Arrest of Louis Count
October 10th, 1793, the shortly after a conversation between Louis Count, Courteous Edme-Bonaventure and Georges Danton, Louis Count is stopped. October 11th, 1793, he is questioned by the Comité of general security. Louis Count had already been used on several occasions for secret missions, but its past disturbs and the whimsical character of its novel hardly inspired confidence at the Committees.
Simple coincidence of date? October 12th, 1793 Georges Danton addresses a letter to Convention where he calls upon his convalescence so that Convention gives him the authorization to go to Arcis-on-Paddle in order to " to restore its health and to breathe the air natal" by specifying respectfully that it would return " with its poste" as soon as it would have taken again forces.
