Louis Bulteau
Louis Bulteau (1625, Rouen - 1693, Abbey of Saint-Germain-of-Meadows) was a Historien French.
He was during fourteen years Secrétaire of the king. He left his load in 1661 with the profit of his brother Charles Bulteau to devote itself exclusively to the Histoire. He withdrew himself successively with the Abbaye of Jumièges, with that of Saint-Germain-of-Meadows, then with Paris where he finishes his life as Frère convers at the Mauriste S. He studied mainly the monastic history.
One owes him:
- the History of the monks of the East (of Saint-Anthony at the 7th century)
- a Test of the Monastic History of the East (1680);
- a Shortened History of the Order of Saint-Beno4it cheese (1684);
- then of 1684 with 1694, the History of Saint-Beno4it cheese and the monks of Occident .
It translated:
