Louis Boivin , brother of Jean Boivin, is a French writer born in 1649 and died in 1724.

Member of the Academy of the inscriptions, it left Mémoires on the Chronology , where according to the Dictionnaire Bouillet, it is devoted too easily to groundless assumptions.
