Louis Bissinger

Louis Bissinger is a painter born the April 24th 1899 with Lyon, deceased in 1978 with Rillieux-the-Pope.

Artist was born in Lyon on April 24th, 1899. In the area of the Dauphine one which is expensive to him, it meets and frequent many Lyons painters and binds friendship aver GIACOMINO, ANSELME, GAY ABEL, ROMAGNOL, Miss SUDAN like REIGNIER, with which it shares same admiration for the painter RAVIER.Certaines works of Louis Bissinger carries the signature " Bérard" or " Governed Bérard" , pseudonym which it often used. It takes part after the 1939 1945 old war in many exposures of paintings. It obtains the 1st Price of the town of Lyon in 1945. During the war, it is stopped and off-set in a camp D where it returns to the release. Of this stay, it carries out some watercolours. In 1950, it leaves to live Morestel called the City of the Painters. This city becomes its country of adoption. It works there until 1960. Meanwhile, It obtains the 1st Price of the Friends of Arts in Grenoble in 1954. The French State, as well as the Museum of the Army, crown its success by acquiring of several of its works in 1957. After several stays in Franche-Comté in company of his Yvette wife (in particular with Lons-the-Salt maker in the Jura in its friends antiquitaires Miss and Mr. Luigi) but also in Burgundy, in Alsace, out of Champagne in the Marne, it leaves for Brandonvillers in 1970, where his/her uncle left him a property. Louis Bissinger leaves behind him a fertile work. Its beginnings express major impressionist tendencies.
