Biography
Factor of French instruments, established with Mantes-the-City in Paris region since 1830. One owes him the great engineering changes of the modern Clarinette. It joined for this project Hyacinthe Klosé, Clarinettiste virtuoso and professor with the Conservatoire of Paris. In 1843 they deposit a patent for the clarinet and the Hautbois, adopting the new system with mobile rings that the German Theobald Boehm had developed for the Flute. The instruments of today are almost identical.

Today regarded as marks reference for the clarinets, the company Dresser-Cramp also produces oboes, Basson S and Saxophone S. the name of the company comes from its nephew who having begun again the business, had married with Miss Zoe Crampon.
