Louis Alexandre Vinchon
Louis Alexandre Vinchon , born with Fibula (Somme) on March 26th 1821 and deceased with Laon (Aisne) on August 20th 1884, is a French politician.
Lawyer, he was mayor of Laon of 1863 with 1871. General adviser of Aisne it was also Préfet provisional of Aisne in March and April 1871. Knight of the Legion of honor.
Louis-Auguste Vinchon, chevalier of the Legion of Honor, officer of Academy, lawyer to the bar of Laon, wire of Marie-Alexandre Vinchon and Victoire-Pelagie-Ermance Cadot, was born with Péronne on March 26th, 1821.
Registered with the bar in 1848, temporary judge with the civil, assistant court in 1852, president of the Mutual aid association, Justice of the Peace in 1858, it was named mayor by imperial decree of July 6th, 1863 and was installed the 20 of this month.
To answer the decree of the provisional government, it was formed, on October 13rd, 1870, a municipal commission which chooses for president Vinchon, vice-president Alphonse de Sars, secretary Henri-Aime Leroux, lawyer (since deputy and senator).
After having fulfills the functions of prefect from March 21st to April 3rd, Vinchon took again the town hall on May 24th, 1871 under the terms of a decree of the chief of the executive power, but it gave its resignation following a poll of the municipal council the next on July 2nd.
It represented the canton of Laon at the general advice of 1871 to 1877 and died on August 20th, 1884. Its name was given to a street of the city. (Weapons: Mouths with the money stake, charged with a squirrel with sand, alias of a merlette of azure).
