Born with Montreal, Louis-Philippe Ouimet lived with Winnipeg of 2002 with 2006. Large admiror of the plains of the Canadian West, the young novelist exerts the journalistic profession of Radio-Canada on television. After having published in 2003 a biography of Paul McCartney, Ouimet publishes an urban novel, the Paradise n° 202 , which inspires a new generation of immigrant with Winnipeg. It publishes in November 2005 with the editions of Small Hippias a test on the artist franco-manitobain Marcien LeMay. Louis-Philippe Ouimet works at present on his next novel temporarily entitled " Butte" (finished drafting on March 2nd, 2007).

Louis-Philippe Ouimet returned to live in Montreal in 2006. He works as journalist on television of Radio-Canada and RDI.

In the years 1990, Louis-Philippe animated radio broadcasts with CJRB and CISM. He also worked in front of the camera with the Vox Channel. He illustrated himself while working like critic/cultural chronicler with the late Web site icimontreal.com, which was possibly swallowed by Canoë.
