Louis-Etienne Arcère

Louis-Etienne Arcère , born with Marseilles the April 15th 1698 and died in La Rochelle the February 7th 1782), Professor of Philosophy and superior of the house of the Oratory with the La Rochelle, it was also one of the most famous Historien S of the city.

Its “ History of the La Rochelle and the Country of Aunis ” (1756 - 1757), which one can ajourd' today find in the files of BNF, was the first work which gathered all the history of the city.
