Louis-Antoine Dessaulles
Louis-Antoine Dessaulles (1819 - 1895) was a Québécois essay writer and politician. Native of Saint-Hyacinthe, it studies medicine then accompanies Louis-Joseph Papineau in France, of which he is the nephew. He launches out in journalism in 1852 with the newspaper the Country . Dessaulles is a liberal and an anticlerical member of the Canadian Institut of Montreal. It is especially known to have published the Petit breviary of the defects of our clergy . It becomes Greffier then moves in Belgium. It was republished by the writer Adrien Thério, who admired it personally. The historian Yvan Lamonde published his biography.
