Louis, child king

Louis, child king is a film (historical drama) of Roger Planchon, left in rooms the April 20th 1993.

The film follows the events of the Fronde of 1648 to 1652 with precision while remaining very theatrical (Planchon being a man of theater). The history is presented via the role of Philippe (brother of the king), at the same time protagonist and narrator of the account.

Synopsis

August 1648 Since the death of his father, the young person Louis XIV must make the hard training of the royal capacity. He must face the intrigues of large kingdom which carry out the Fronde, to the agreements and treasons of his close relations. He is helped in that by his Anne mother of Austria and Mazarin.
