Louhans

Louhans is a common French, located in the department of Saône-et-Loire and the area Burgundy at 380 km at the south-east of Paris.

Louhans is located at the south-east of the Département of Saône-et-Loire in Bresse to 25 km of Lons-the-Salt maker, 35 km of Châlon-sur-saône, 85 km of Dijon and 150 km of Lyon or Geneva. The city is ideally located near main roads of communication highway (A39), Railway or departmental network.

The Bresse louhannaise is a preserved area with strong rural identity, having a Patois very marked and practiced still enough, as well as a very strong gastronomical culture , around, inter alia, of the Poulet of Bresse.

Louhans is a city for a long time commercial with its main street bordered of arcade S, one of largest of France, and from its important frequentation (Louhans is a town of passage for much of routes).

In addition to its arcades, the Pharmacy, the church and the Musée of the Imprimerie are the principal places to visit. Side relaxation, many the pond S and Rivière S in the vicinity the city attract many fishermen (the Seille (the Saone) famous for its Silure S for example).

Louhans is, each Monday morning, the center of interest of the area thanks to its typical market and its fair, famous in the neighborhoods. The cattle fair, in particular, is famous and makes arrive by far good number of visitors. The market is likely however to suffer, because the badaux ones come to find here rural, agricultural and nostalgic environment of other times, alas less and less represented by merchants of the soil disappearing with the age.
