Lough Gur
Lough Gur is a lake in the iron shape of horse in the Comté of Limerick, Ireland, located near the village of Bruff. It extends to the foot from the hill from Knockadoon . It is one of the most important sites archaelogic of Ireland. A human presence has been formed there for 6000 years and there are many sites megalithic in the surroundings, among them largest cromlech of Ireland, that of Barn (diameter 45 meters), which is located near the lake, One finds there also Menhir S and Dun as well as the remainders of 3 crannogs (of the artificial islands), and of 2 huts of the time of the old Christianisme.
In the North-East of the lake a center of visitor with a small museum is, presenting models and lucky finds of approximately.
In the south of the lake are the ruins of Black Castle , which was used like refuge during the Desmond rebellions for the 16th ciècle.
