Loubeyrat
Loubeyrat is a common French of the Canton of Manzat, located in the department of the Puy-de-Dôme and the area of Auvergne. Loubeyrat belongs to the urban surface of Clermont-Ferrand.
Geography
Located at the edge of the fault of the Limagne, in the Combrailles, the plain dominates, is staged between 440 m and 869 m of altitude. Crossing by three brooks, under granitic ground and presence of a small volcano the puy of Rochenoire (source of Morge). Agricultural commune which becomes increasingly residential. Riom is with 12 km and Clermont-Ferrand to 30 km.
History
- 12th century: construction of the Romance church;
- 1791 : The Eydieu priest refuses to lend oath to the civil constitution of the clergy;
- 1872 : The Guigoux priest undertakes the construction of a new church (" Cathedral of the montagnes") registered on the list of the historic buildings in 2000;
- 1940 : The Château of Chazeron is used as prison, during the Procès of Riom. Y are held: Leon Blum, Edouard Daladier and the General Gamelin.

Jacques de Chazeron: First Master of hotel of Louis XII, one of the six deputies of the nobility indicated for the drafting of the habits of Auvergne (1550).
- Gilbert de Chazeron: Henri IV names it in 1595 governor of the Lyonese. He took share, successfully, with the war against the league of Auvergne carried out by Nemours, representative of the Protestants.
