Lou Boudreau
Lou Boudreau , born the July 17th 1917 and deceased the August 10th 2001, was a Stop-short of the major Ligue of baseball in particular for the Cleveland Indians between 1938 and 1950. It also became to manage in major league.
This descendant of French emigrants carries the colors of the Illinois Fighting Illini during its university career. He was captain of the teams of Baseball and Basket-ball of Fighting Illini. He joined the Cleveland Indians in 1938 and also plays as a professional with the basketball with the Hammond Ciesar All-Americans in National Basketball League. It is however in baseball that it makes career durably.
Selected eight times for the AlStar Game (1940 with 1945, then 1947 and 1948), and appointed better player of the American League in 1948, it is elected with the Temple of re-elected baseball in 1970.
