Charlotte “Lottie” Dod (September 24th 1871, Bebington, EnglandJune 27th 1960, Sway, England) is sporting a British highly skilled end of the 19 {{E}} Siècle and beginning of the 20 {{E}}.

Biography

Lottie Dod was born from a family of the upper middle classes, her father having made fortune in the trade of the Coton. As of its more young age, she devotes herself to number of Sport S, like the Patinage or the Billard.

The more high level, she plays in particular two matches in the English national female team of Field hockey (1899 and 1900), gains the British Ladies Amateur golf Championship (1904), and takes down a money medal in Tir with the arc with the Olympic Games of London (1908).

But it is in tennis that Lottie Dod obtains its most remarkable performances. She takes part in her first competition as of eleven years and gains the Tournoi of Wimbledon to five recoveries (always against Blanche Bingley finally, six players being in string for the title): the first of these successes, it signs it in 1887, at only fifteen years. It to date remains young person gaining into simple ladies of the history of the test.

Towards 1911, Lottie Dod puts a term at its sporting career.
