Comments
Los olvidados (forgotten) are all these young Mexicans of the Fifties rejected socially with the periphery of the capital following a physical and intellectual misery that theirs bequeathed former generations broken by alcohol and illiteracy.
The daily deplorable environment that these young teenagers undergo breaks a fundamental nature of kindness which the child has by defect.
These kids positioned in a daily brutality stagnate from day to day in a world of combine and stagnant plunders.
The drama of these children is purely internal, the total lack of maternal love start for some a primary approach of the life. Not having any concept of tenderness, they are in the incapacity to redistribute what they are unaware of.
Contrary to “Miracle in Milan” of Vittorio de Sica which showed a social misery attenuated by the sensitivity and the kindness distilled by Toto towards its entourage, here the tone is hard, without pity.
There is no “rich, poor” material report to make. This internal misery is localized in a well defined territory, the total dryness of the spirits. A lack of positioning worthy of these children in behaviors adapted to natural logic the their old ones makes them similar to genuine rough stones of the company delivered to themselves.
The starting framing was completely non-existent, they thus create their own imbalances by applying Lois scélérates.
A head warden only encouraging character by his tolerant speech towards his children attenuates the coldness of the unit.
The final outcome seems a delivery for Jaïbo removed finally from all this filth.
