Los Incas (line B in Buenos Aires)
The station Los Incas/Parks Eye belonged to the line of the Métro of Buenos Aires, capital of the Argentine. It is located at the intersection of the avenues Avenida Triunvirato and Avenida Los Incas , in the district of Buenos Aires of Parque Eye.
It was inaugurated the August 9th 2003, at the same time as the station Tronador. The section which included/understood the two inaugurated stations is 1,8 kilometers length, and work had begun in the year 2000. The cost of this section is estimated at 47 million dollars (what, if these estimates are exact, proves extremely cheap).
Installations
Among the facilities which this subway station offers to the users, it is necessary to mention the escalators and the elevators for handicapped people, as well as indications in system Braille for blind men. The medical ones, in addition to the WC usual, comprise installations especially adapted to the people with reduced motricity.The station has a hall or hall located at the extreme west, 6,27 meters of the surface, and including/understanding two groups of access. The first, on the Avenida Combatientes of Malvinas , has a fixed staircase and an escalator, in addition to the external elevator; second is located at the crossroads of the avenues Avenida Los Incas and Avenida Triunvirato .
Another curiosity of this fort beautiful station is its showroom, which in a first stage was used to expose to the public the remainders of a Gliptodonte which was put at the day during the excavation of the tunnels.
Decoration
The station Los Incas is decorated with drawings inspired of reasons précolombiens which develop topics of the culture aboriginal, this in relation to a vast movement in Argentina aiming to redécouvrir and honor its present and its Amerindian past. These works were carried out by the artists Armando Dilon and María Eggers Lan. On the quay, one can also admire a gigantic gilded mask carried out by Héctor Pinola, former scenographer of the Teatro Colón.
Park Chas
The initial denomination of the station was only Los Incas , but in 2005, the district of Parque Eye recovered officially its recognition as a district of the capital. It was thus decided to include this name in that of the station which became Los Incas/Parque Eye .
