Lorraine (first name)
Lorraine (or also Loraine) is a female first name (celebrated the May 30th, festival of Holy-Jeanne) income to the mode for the babies born between the end of the Années 1980 and the beginning of the Années 1990 (statistical INSEE).
In 1940 the Crooner and jazzman Nat King Cole recorded one of her great successes entitled Sweet Lorraine (soft Lorraine, almost a pleonasm since the first name comes from Eléonore, “Latin lenire” which means to soften) song written by Mitchell Parish and Cliff Burwell.
