Loriquet
The Loriquets are birds of alive Loriinae in Australasia which comprises also the loris. This term, like lori, drift probably of the term Malayan nori , via the Flemish lory . The lori term was fixed in French thanks to a work of zoology written in Latin par.
They are animals with the coloured plumages. In general, the loriquet term is used to describe the species with a long tail " conique" , whereas name lori is employed for the species having a short and round tail .
It is noted that there is not correspondence of the terms “lori” and “loriquet” in French and of the terms “ Lory ” and “ lorikeets ” in English, for example the species of the kind Charmosyna are called “lori” in French and “ lorikeets ” in English.
