Lorenzo di Niccolò
Lorenzo di Niccolò , or Lorenzo di Niccolò Gerini (1376-1440), is an Italian painter of the school florentine, documented between 1391 and 1411.
Biography
He is the son of Niccolò di Pietro Gerini, this data is discussed, at all events he collaborates with him in the frescos of the vault Migliorati of the church San Francesco in Prato. He never joined despite everything the artistic level of his Master and remains anchored in the Gothic style .In 1395, with (his/her father) Niccolò, Ambrogio di Baldese and Mariotto di Nardo, it paints the frescos of the ex-convent of the Brigidini Al Paradiso , in the neighborhoods of Florence.
It carries out many tables, Miniature S and frescos, like those of the convent of Oblates and the church Santa Trinita, of Florence. Prédelle of a Polyptyque whose central panel is in the Médicis vault of the basilica Santa Croce in Florence, is present in the collection of the Musée Bagatti Valsecchi at Milan.
