Lorenzo Nottolini

Lorenzo Nottolini is an Italian architect born in Segromigno in Piano, village on the commune of Capannori, on May 6th, 1787, died in Lucques on September 12th, 1851.

It is formed in Lucques, the Academy of the Art schools of Florence and, as from 1812, with Rome. Its style takes as a starting point Antonio Canova which he personally knows in Florence and of Andrea Palladio that he studies with Vicence and with Venice.

In 1818, Louise de Bourbon, duchess of Lucques appoints it royal architect for the duchy of Lucques, charges that it occupies during thirty years.
