Lorenzino de Médicis

Lorenzino de Médicis , known as Lorenzaccio (born the March 23rd 1514 with Florence - died the February 26th 1548 with Venice) was a family member florentine Médicis, which was mixed with the intrigues and plots which shook this big family at the time of the Renaissance.

Biography

Lorenzino de Médicis, wire of Pierfrancesco de Médicis '' the Young person '', assassinated his cousin, the duke Alexandre, first duke of Tuscany, in 1537. He itself was assassinated with Venice, on the Campo San Polo , the February 26th 1548 per order of his cousin Cosme Ier of Tuscany.

Lorenzino de Médicis is the author of the comedy the Aridosio which will adapt Pierre de Larivey: the Spirits (1579).
