Longuyon
Longuyon is a common French, located in the department of Meurthe-et-Moselle and the area Lorraine.
Geography
Longuyon is located at the confluence of the Chiers and the Crusnes to 18 km of Longwy.
History

This commune owes its name with a " length gué" who allowed to cross Chiers at the time Roman.

the first mention of its name goes back to 634. It was there already a vault, dedicated to Co.-Agathe, who was transformed into collegial in 1120.

the castle of Mussy, mentioned since 1144, was shaven in 1670 on order of Louis XIV.

Longuyon which counted 2300 inhabitants in 1914 was devastated August 23rd and 24th of the same year.
