the churchThe Church Holy-Water caltrop of Longueval has marvellous stained glasses, work of Claude Courageux, who was invited in 1980 to propose a new stained glass for this church by the François-Joseph father Without. It has been with the service of the parish for 50 years, and wanted a new stained glass bearing on resurrection. In the years which followed, Claude Courageux worked four other stained glasses for the church of Longueval.
This monument, whose white stones date from XIIè sciècle, accommodates orchestras coming from Heidelberg, Salzburg and receives the violonist Ivry Gitlis from time to time. A friend of the father met the Master of the violin after a concert and pushed it to come to play for the love of the music. Since, it returned ten time and bound of friendship with the François-Joseph father.
This place of worship and inheritance, became alive treasure thanks to the love of a man: The François-Joseph father, who continues today still to say the mass every Sunday.
