Holy Longin of Marseilles , celebrated on July 21st

The history of this saint is deeply related to that of the martyrdom of Victor Saint, who would have died in Marseilles under : Maximien Hercules (285-305). These two saints are celebrated besides the same day. Longin saint, with saint Félicien and holy Alexandre, was charged to keep holy Victor in prison. This last converts its three guards who shared his martyrdom then: being declared Christian, they were decapitated, while Saint Victor, after having undergone the most dreadful torments, was crushed under a grinding stone in the public swimming pools.
