Lombard-Venetian Kingdom
The kingdom of Lombardy-Venezia is a state created in the north of Italy, after the Napoleonean wars. Its sovereign was the emperor of Austria.
Principal obstacle with the realization of the unification of Italy, it knew many republican and nationalist risings. It was gradually cut up: the Lombardy is annexed to the Royaume of Sardinia in 1859 (after the second war of Independence supported by Napoleon III), the Venezia was attached to the Royaume of Italy in 1866, after the war austro-italo-Prussian.
