Lomatia

Lomatia is a kind of 12 species of always green plants with flowers, of the family of the Proteaceae .

The kind has a distribution distributed around the southern Pacific with species native of Eastern Australia and others of South America, thus forming one part of the Flora the Antarctic. Among the unquestionable species are of size very small (in Australian Schrub) and have less than 50 cm of size, but of others reach more than 12 meters in height.
