Loja (Ecuador)

Loja is a town of Ecuador, capital of the province of Loja and a population of approximately: 140000 inhabitants. She was founded in 1548 and was distinguished while being the first Ecuadorian city with being fed electrically, thanks to a hydroelectric stopping builds in 1896.

Loja is also known to be visited by Simon Bolivar in her countryside to unify the Grande Colombia.

The city is located on the Pan-American Highway.
