Loggia del Bigallo
The Loggia del Bigallo , coupled at the palate, is located Piazza San Giovanni , i.e. with the western part of the place of the Dome, the cathedral Santa Maria del Fiore with Florence.
History
The palazzetto is built for the Compagnie of Sainte-Marie of the Mercy between 1352 and 1358, by the architect Alberto Arnoldi at the time where exists the House-turn of Adimari, then destroyed after the expulsion of the city of the family for her membership guelfe (1248). The new construction, though built in full Gothic period, presents, in addition to the windows gemellées with the first stage and a loggia equipped with arches directly inspired of Brunelleschi for the realization of the Hôpital of Innocent the and respecting the architectonic principles of Renaissance style.It contains a museum today.
