Logelheim

Logelheim is a common French, located in the department of the Haut-Rhin and the area Alsace.
It is organized there a considered festival of the Potiron , all last the weekend of October,
As well as the Celtic festival the last weekend of July.

Geography

Logelheim is located beside the Ill in the Alsatian cereal plain and at 7km of Colmar.
There are great farms, as well as poultry breedings and the porcine ones.

History

  • One evokes the village under the name of LAGELN in Year 770 with the first Duke of Alsace, Bonifacius Gandius.
  • About 1025, Logelheim becomes a possession of Landgraffs de Habsbourg.

  • In 1224, the abbey of Ebermunster is dispossessed of its rights on Logelheim to the profit of the convents of Masevaux and co. Cross in Plain.

  • In 1444, the Armagnacs destroy the village.

  • Of 1500 to 1546, Logelheim develops, the first dams of Ill are installation

  • In 1563, the seigniory of Hohlandsbourg of which Logelheim forms part is sold to the knight Lazare de Schwendi.

  • Of 1621 to 1640, the village is destroyed by various invaders.

  • After the revolution, the first municipal council elected Mr. François Antoine ROTH at the post of Mayor

  • In 1797, Logelheim loses 200 hectares of grounds which were distributed between Hettenschlag and Weckolsheim considering the absence of its representatives during the distributions.

  • In 1800, Logelheim counted 251 inhabitants and 476 in 1850.

  • In 1997, the census indicates 567 inhabitants; The commune has an inheritance of 400 ha grounds and joined the SIVOM Hardt-North.
