Loeiz Andouard (June 16th 1904, Binic - June 14th 1985, Lamballe), pseudonyms: L.F.A., Erel Keralban, Farnachanavan, Abherhel.
He is the son of a customs officer, of a family originating in Fréhel. In 1908, it loses all its family, carried by an epidemic: his/her two sisters, her father, then his mother, dead some time afterwards. It is collected by an uncle gendarme in station in the country of Rennes After secondary studies, it is pupil of the National school of the Merchant navy of Paimpol. It then makes to the knowledge of Yann Sohier teacher with Plouguiel, like to him impassioned Brittany, with which it will preserve a solid friendship. It will also enter very quickly in relation to Roparz Hemon and “Gwalarn equips it” to which it will be incorporated. It launches out in the study of the Gaélique and will go several times in Ireland. It will be made friends there and also one of its pseudonyms will bring back from there: Farnachanavan.
After having sailed during several years as raises officer, lieutenant then captain with the long course on the ships of the brought together Chargeurs, of the Naval Société of the West, then of the Compagnie Havraise Péninsulaire, between Le Havre and Madagascar, it is constrained by the crisis, like of his/her former comrades leaving much in 1931 the marine . In 1935, it had wife the writer Breton Fant Rozeg of which it will have three girls and who was to leave it in 1944.
It will exert many trades before becoming Journaliste with the Voice of the Sailor published in Saint-Malo by the North-eastern trade union Brittany created by the father Louis Bret, and the owner-fisherman Ernest Lamort of Cancale. Mobilized in 1939 like Naval officer of reserve on a warship, it is released in 1940, after the armistice in England where it is stationed and chooses to regain Brittany. In January 1941, at the instigation of Roparz Hemon, it takes in hand the drafting of the new Breton weekly magazine Arvor which it contributed to launch with his wife. It will leave the newspaper in 1943 to go to settle with Paris where it will occupy, during the last years of its professional life, of important functions to the Central committee of maritime fishings. It gives starting from 1967, of the courses of Breton to Ker Vreiz. It will be also one of the professors by correspondence of Skol Ober. To its retirement it returns to Brittany to Pléhérel in 1969.
