Lodi Gyari , Lodi Gyaltsen Gyari , Lodi Gyari Rinpoché or Kasur Lodi Gyari was born with Nyarong in the Eastern Tibet in 1949. In 1959 it is exiled with its family in the India.

He was Minister for the Information and the International relations of the Gouvernement Tibetan in exile.

He is, with Kelsang Gyaltsen, one of the emissary of the Dalaï Lama engaged in a series of dialog with the China having for goal to initiate negotiations on the future statute of the Tibet. June 29th 2007 with the July 5th 2007, Lodi Gyari and Kelsang Gyaltsen, went in China for their 6th visit of discussions on the Tibet of which the first take place in 2002. Lodi Gyari gave an interview before a few months. The visits did not allow yet of not advanced in the initiation of the negotiations awaited so much by the Tibetans and those which are interdependent of their right fight for their rights.

Editor association of the weekly magazine tibétophone Tibetan Freedom Close , one of the member-founders of anglophone monthly magazine Tibetan Review , Lodi Gyari is also at the origin of the Congrès of the Youth Tibetan (TYC), of which he is elected president in 1975. Member of the Parliament Tibetan in exile, then president of this one. He is today the special representative of the Dalaï Lama to the the United States, and also executive President of International Campaign for Tibet.
