Lodger
Lodger is an album of David Bowie left in 1979. It is the 13th album studio of Bowie.
This album marks the end of the “Berliner trilogy” of the singer (the first two shutters being Low and Heroes ). Less experimental than the two precedents but more delirious (see the clip of Servant boys Keep Swinging ), Lodger remains regarded as one of the very best albums of the Thin White Duke . Among the most famous compositions, one finds Boys Keep Swinging and Look Back In Anger or D.J. . The album also abounds in splendid songs such as Fantastic Voyage, African Night Flight , and the very pop Move One . Bowie prepares us here with his masterpiece of the following year, Scary Monsters… and Super Creeps .
Although Lodger remains in withdrawal compared to Low or Heroes because more accessible, Lodger remains “one of the principal albums” (NME) of Bowie.
