Locmariaquer

Locmariaquer is a common French, located in the department of the Morbihan and the area Brittany.

Blazon

This blazon was created in the Thirties per Jean-Baptiste Corlobé, artist local. The armorial bearings carry: semi-party, a dolmen of money on sinople bottom as a chief and a boat veils deployed of money on bottom of azure at a peak… the overcome whole of a crown of baron (Locmariaquer is in old the baronnie of Kaër) and carries the currency: " Kaër E mem bro" who can be interpreted in two manners: " The country of Kaër is my pays" or " Pretty is my pays" (description of J.M François Jacob in 1933). IT is of course necessary to add with this description the central stringcourse carrying the 5 hermines, recalling that we are well in the middle of Brittany.

Geography

The commune of Locmariaquer is located at the western mouth of the Golfe of Morbihan and has many Plage S giving on the Atlantic Ocean and bay of Quiberon.
