Local trams of Wellin

Created starting from 1894 pennies the aegis of SNCV, three lines of local trams converged towards Wellin:

• from station SNCB of Graide, while following the valley of the Almache and serving the localities of Graide, Porcheresse, Gembes, Daverdisse, Redu - station, Neupont, Halma and Wellin.

This line connected Wellin and the railway line 166 Dining - Bertrix- Athus still in expoitation.

• from station SNCB of Grupont and serving the localities of Grupont, Bore-hole, Tellin, Resteigne, Chanly, Neupont, Halma and Wellin.

This line connected Wellin to the railway line 162 Namur - Luxembourg, still in activity.

• from the station of Rochefort and serving the localities of Rochefort, Han-on-Injures, Auffe, Ave and Wellin. The Tram of Han, connecting the center of Han-on-Injures at the entry of the Grottes of Han, formed part of it.

This line connected Wellin to the railway line 150 Jemelle - Houyet. (This line 150 of SNCB is currently except service and serves as sitted with the way " RAVeL " 2).

Of these three lines, forming old line 518 of the SNCV, only the " Tram of Han " is still in service at present.

The other lines were put except service in the current of the years 1950 (in spite of the proposal of the Town council of Wellin to maintain the Wellin-Graide line like line tourist) and replaced by buses.
