Lobe (anatomy)

The lobe is a term of anatomy characterizing a round or projecting part of a body. Its size is sufficiently important to be palpated or dissected, one also speaks about lobule for round structures of small size.

lobes of the Brain: frontal Lobe, parietal Lobe, temporal Lobe and occipital Lobe. One indicates sometimes the limbic Système under his historical name of large limbic lobe ( of Broca ).
