Llosa de Ranes (officially and in Valencian Llosa de Ranes ) is a municipality of the Province of Valence (autonomous Communauté of Valence, Spain), located in the Comarque of Costera.

The municipal territory of Llosa de Ranes is close to that of the following communes: Sinarcas, Camporrobles, Fuenterrobles, Aliaguilla, Caudete of mow Fuentes, Requena, Benagéber, and Chelva, all located in the Province of Valence.

The principal cultures are the table grapes, the Tabac and the Agrume S.
History
In the beginning, it was about a place of entertainment at the time Moslem woman, with Mosquée and Public baths. After the reconquest, Jacques Ier d' Aragon distributed these grounds, the current locality was founded and took the name of one of its Seigneur S Lloesa . In 1520 Juan Sanz of Llosa sold the Seigneurie to several residents of Xàtiva and Llosa itself.The locality was inhabited by Morisque S and was almost entirely depopulated in 1609 during the expulsion of the latter. It was repopulated by old Christians and in 1646 it counted 23 hearths (100 people). At the end of the XVIIIe century, it counted already 291 hearths and more than 1000 inhabitants, his population doubling with the XIXe (2024 inhabitants in 1897).
