Ljusnan

Ljusnan is a river of the center of the Sweden.

Geography

Ljungan takes its source in the mountains of the province of Härjedalen, moves towards the east in the province of Hälsingland for jetter in the the Baltic close to Hudiksvall. It crosses the towns of Sveg and Ljusdal.

Activities

  • Eighteen Barrage S is built on Ljusnan, making it possible to produce 4,5 TWh (2001).
