Liviu-Dieter Nisipeanu
Liviu-Dieter Nisipeanu , born the 1976, is a Rumanian player of failures . Its Classement Elo in July 2007 is of 2683 points, it occupies the 26e world place thus, being thus first Rumanian.
In 1999, it reached the semi-finals of the Championnat of world FIDE of Las Vegas. After having beaten Vasily Ivanchuk and Alexeï Chirov, it was eliminated by the future winner of the tournament, Alexander Khalifman. In 2005, it gained the individual Championship of Europe with 10 points out of 13, in front of the favorite Teimour Radjabov. In October of the same year, it obtained its best classification elo with 2707 points, placing it in the 15th world place. In 2006, it disputed a friendly match against world champion FIDE Veselin Topalov but was inclined 1-3. In 2007, it was invited to the Chess tournament of Sofia and took the 3rd place, beating with the passage Veselin Topalov and Michael Adams.
Nisipeanu is known to use a repertory of original openings and generally little played, surprising thus regularly its adversaries.
