Livingstone

Currently located in Zambia, the town of Livingstone , or Maramba , starting from 1911 was the capital of the territory of the Rhodesia of North. The city is located at ten kilometers of the Chutes Victoria on the Zambezi. The seat of the government of the territory was moved with Lusaka starting from 1935.
The National park of Mosi-oa-Tunya (66 km ²) close the city and falls. Can be there observed elephant S, Girafe S, Hippopotame S and only the white Rhinocéros of Zambia.
A bridge slightly downstream from the falls allows the passage towards the Zimbabwe. The city is connected to the Lusaka capital by road and railroad.
The city owes its name with David Livingstone, which was the first European to traverse the area.
