In general, the livestock indicates the whole of the animal of breeding of a Farm, or more largely of an area or a country. In a legal and economic meaning, the livestock indicates the whole of the means of exploitation of a farm. One distinguishes in this case the “deadstock”, consisted the machines and instruments of mechanical work, and the “livestock”, the Bétail.
The term derives from Latin, caput , the head.
