Liverdun is a common French of 6393 inhabitants (census of 1999), located in the department of Meurthe-et-Moselle (54) and the area Lorraine.
Its inhabitants are called the Liverdunois (be) .
Liverdun is in particular known for its famous “Madeleines of Liverdun”, of the Chenel cookie factory.

The medieval village overhangs the loops of the the Moselle.
The allotment Toulaire is a whole of 318 houses on only one level located at the north of the commune. In 1957, the American army, which occupied the air base 136 Toul-Rosières (distant of only a few kilometers of the commune of Liverdun and closed in 2004), made build this residence to place its supervisory staff there. The name Toulaire corresponds of the remainder to the contraction of Toul air bases .
After the departure of the soldiers in 1965, the real unit was put on sale at beginning of the year 70.
