Live act (music)
A live act or liver is a Artiste of music Tekno or Indus. With the difference of the Disc jockey which handles the platinums and the discs vinyl, the liver uses musical instruments electronics (commonly called machines ) and Ordinateur S to play its music.
History
The compositions which one finds on the vinyls tekno are produced using these machines, then recorded and finally in a hurry on vinyl. During the emergence of the music Tekno, the Sound system always did not have the means of making press their compositions to play them at the time of the Free-party; they thus played them on line with their machines. This use offers moreover one significant advantage: it leaves the possibility to the liver of modifying and of regulating its music on line, in order to adapt it to its public, the environment of the evening. One speaks then about live-act .The music played by a liver is thus very different from that of a dj.

Any electronic musical instrument (Synthetizer, Sampler,…) can be used. Some livers use even the synthetizer of old models of computers (Atari ST, Amstrad…), even a Game Boy!
The " live act" is generally composed of: limp at rates/rhythms (Roland, Korg, Boss….), of samplor (Akai, Yamaha….), of synthetizer (Access, Clavia, Novation…). Then comes to join: a console of mixing like various effects and filters.
More and more the computer takes an important place in the " live". In particular thanks to software (Cubase, Logic Audio, FruityLoops, Live Ableton….)
