Live 8

Live 8 is a series in the concerts which took place at the beginning of the month of July 2005 in the Member States of the G8. The concerts preceded the top by the G8 which took place with the hotel Gleneagles with Perthshire with the the United Kingdom. The live 8 also coincides with the 20th birthday of the Live Aid. This demonstration is carried out in parallel with the British countryside “Make Poverty History” (in French: “Let us abolish Poverty”). This countryside aims at making pressure on the leaders of the richest countries of planet so that they erase the national debt of the poorest countries, in particular those of Africa, that they increase and improve the humanitarian and economic aid and that they lay down righter commercial rules for these countries.

The concerts were held on July 2nd with London with the the United Kingdom, Berlin in Germany, Rome in Italy, Tokyo with the Japan, Johannesburg in South Africa, Moscow in Russia, Philadelphia with the the United States of America, Barrie with the Canada, Versailles in France; and a few days later with Edinburgh with the the United Kingdom.

The concerts had been filmed by Gerard Pullicino.
