Little nun (river)
The Nonette is a French Rivière 41 km length, which runs in the Département of Oise. It is a Affluent (left bank) of the Oise, and thus a tributary of a tributary of the the Seine.
The course of the Little nun
The river takes its source with Nanteuil-le-Haudouin (Oise), and runs out according to an orientation is/western. It sprinkles the town of Senlis, as well as the park of the Château of Chantilly where it is channeled, and throws itself in the Oise with Gouvieux.
At the beginning of the 19th century, one raised 31 mills on the Little nun.
Its course is for its near total in the Regional natural park Oise-Country of France.
Affluents
Its two principal affluents are the Aunette and the Launette (which sprinkles the park of Ermenonville).

Hydrology
The flow of the Little nun was observed for one 40 years period (1968-2007), with Courteuil, locality of the Département of Oise, located between Senlis and Chantilly, and near to its confluence with the Oise. The catchment area of the river is there of 338 km ².
The interannual medium flow or module of the river with Courteuil is of 1,66 m ³ a second.
The seasonal fluctuations of flow of the Little nun are very weak, as it is very often the case in the North-West of the basin of the Seine, and in the areas close to the High-Normandy and the basin of the Somme. It is quite difficult to speak high and about low waters for such a regular river. However, it is noted that the average monthly flows are higher from December to May included oscillating from 1,7 to 1,9 m ³ a second (with a maximum of 1,9 m ³ a second in March). As of June, the flow drops somewhat and reaches a floor from August at October (between 1,36 and 1,47 m ³ a second) with a minimum in September (1,36). One must admit that the Little nun is a river with average monthly flow nearly constant throughout the year. However they are only monthly averages there and the flows can show more marked fluctuations according to the years and over short periods.
Thus, the VCN3 can fall until 0,710 m ³, in the event of dry period quinquennial, that is to say 710 liters a second, which remains very comfortable (see note).
In addition the risings are never important. The QIX 2 and QIX 5 or calculated flows of biennial and quinquennial rising are worth respectively 3,7 and 4,2 m ³. The QIX 10 or calculated flow of decennial rising is worth 4,5 m ³ a second, while the QIX 20 is assembled to 4,8 m ³. Finally the QIX 50 is only of 5,3 m ³ a second. (see note). The recorded maximum instantaneous flow with Courteuil was of 5,49 m ³ a second on March 24th 2001, while the value maximum day laborer was of 5,39 m ³ a second the following day March 25th. By comparing the first of these figures with the values of the various QIX of the river, it appears that this rising was of order cinquantennal and thus extremely exceptional. One can consider that it is intended to on average repeat the every 50-70 years.
The Little nun is not a very abundant river. The Lame of water past in its basin is of 155 millimetres annually, which is poor, very definitely lower than the overall average of France, but also than that of the whole of the catchment area of the Seine (240 millimetres). The specific Débit (or Qsp) is assembled consequently at weak 4,9 liters a second and per square kilometer of basin.
