Marie-Auguste de Balsac (born in 1788) was a senior official and French politician of the beginning of the 19th century of origin aveyronnaise, which was successively secretary-general of the Ministry for the Interior, Préfet, to advise State, Député, General adviser. Invested title of baron by ordinance of the November 21st 1822, he will be commander of the Légion of honor in 1827. Married to Blanche of Couronnel in 1822.
