Jean-Marc Ayrault is a Politician French socialist, born the January 25th 1950 with Maulévrier (Maine-et-Loire). He is deputy and mayor of Nantes, and chair various group Socialiste, radical, citizen and left with the National Assembly.
Biography
Professional path
It makes its primary studies at the private school of Maulévrier, secondaries with the Colbert college of Cholet, higher than the Faculty of Arts of Nantes. He is laid off of German and holder of the Capes. He starts to teach German in college in 1973, with Rezé then with Saint-Herblain.
Political course
It adheres to the Socialist party in 1971, at the time of the Congrès of Épinay. He is elected general adviser at 26 years, then mayor of Saint-Herblain (western suburbs of Nantes) in 1977. At 27 years, he becomes the youngest mayor of France of a commune of more than 30.000 inhabitants. He occupies this function until in 1989, date on which he stands as a candidate to the town hall of Nantes and succeeds the outgoing mayor, the senator RPR Michel Chauty, who did not represent himself, and who was also his predecessor with the town hall of Saint-Herblain.With the head of the town hall of Nantes, it gradually builds the project of the Urban community of Nantes, renamed Nantes Métropole.
Parallel to its armchair of mayor, he is elected appointed in 1986. Member of the executive office of the Socialist party since 1979, he was president of the National federation of the elected officials Socialiste S and republican S in 1992. In 1995, it chairs for 2 years the Association of the mayors of the big cities of France, before becoming president of the socialist group with the National Assembly in 1997.
Originally resulting from the current poperenist, with the left of the party, he is today reformist, in favor of a Social-démocratie “with allemande”. Near to François Holland, he declares officially as of September 2006, his support for Ségolène Royal within the framework of the primary educations of the Socialist party for the presidential election of 2007.
He is re-elected appointed the June 17th 2007 with 66,15% of the voices for XIIIe legislature (2007 - 2012), in the Third district of the Loire-Atlantique for a seventh consecutive mandate. He is renewed the June 25th 2007, for the third time, like chair of group, become the socialist Groupe, radical, citizen and connected (SRC). The June 27th 2007 it announces the creation of a shadow governement which it chairs since.
